Our new Home has an array of donor recognition and naming opportunities available to those who make gifts of $5,000 or more. Gifts can be made through one-time donations or pledges (payable over/up to a five-year period). These gifts will be recognized on our major donor wall, which will be located inside the community center.
Donors who make gifts of $10,000 or more will have the opportunity to be honored with recognition on individual rooms or spaces located throughout the Home. Donor recognition pieces have been designed to be aesthetically pleasing and to offer a way to showcase a lasting message of the donor’s choice.
Our new Home will provide 138 private rooms split among 12 households. Each room will provide residents with a larger living area and more privacy. Rooms feature wireless internet access, flat screen TVs, wireless call systems, electronic medical records and much more. All of our rooms are enhanced with natural lighting.
Rooms will also provide donors a great way to be recognized for their support. We have 120 resident rooms at this level and a number of offices available for naming.
Be part of keeping our residents healthy and active by sponsoring the new Home’s Fitness Center with state-of-the-art equipment and other features geared toward the benefit of our population.
Provide the comforts of home to our Veterans and their families by sponsoring a den in one of our Small Homes. Residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy quiet time in these cozy, well-appointed dens whether for entertaining, enjoying a book or taking part in a much loved hobby.
Other opportunities allow donors to give back to the staff who care for our residents by sponsoring an employee lounge, offices, administrative space and laundry facilities.
Each household will feature a warm and welcoming living room, dining room, fireplace and large kitchen. The floorplan is open, which eliminates long hallways as every room opens up to a common space. Finishes will be eye pleasing – they will look more like someone’s home rather than a traditional nursing home.
Our new Home will bring convenience to our residents and for some, that means in-house hair care. As a sponsor of our Barber/Beauty Shop, you’d be providing the convenience and confidence our residents so deserve.
We believe it is our duty to provide supportive and thorough training to our staff, which is why in our new Home we’ve allowed for classroom space for area nursing programs. With your help, MVH could train generations of healthcare professionals who are committed to our mission of
“Caring for those who served.”
Many aspects of our new Home make this project second-to-none in the state and even the nation. It’s along those lines that we’ve decided to give our residents a community of their own that will be safe, but allow them the freedom and choice that they embraced before they needed a helping hand with their healthcare needs.
Be part of this innovative way to enrich the lives of our residents by becoming a sponsor of one of the following features that shifts the way we think of assisted living.
Our new Home will offer a Therapy Gym and Pool with state-of-the-art equipment to keep our residents in their very best shape. Imagine giving the gift of health to our Veterans and their families by being a sponsor for one of these unique opportunities.
Make an incredible gift to Maine Veterans’ Homes that will touch residents and their families for generations to come. Your sponsorship of our Memory Care, Long Term Care or AL/TCU Buildings would ensure our Veterans are provided with topnotch care for many years to come in a setting that caters to their unique needs.
Give the gift of community by being the generous donor of our Community Center, the heart of the new Maine Veterans’ Homes’ – Augusta.
The Community Center will be a gathering place for all and where our residents will form bonds, strengthen family ties and engage with their community – volunteers, our youth, fellow Veterans and much more.
