Located in Aroostook County, the most northeastern city in the U.S., MVH Caribou offers a variety of opportunities for the individuals who reside in our home. MVH Caribou remains connected to the region’s agricultural roots, with world-famous Maine potato fields located directly behind the home.
Our diverse activities program truly capture life in Aroostook County. Residents attend the Acadian Festival in Madawaska, one of the Four Corners of the United States. They enjoy trips to local vendors on Maple Syrup Sunday, apple/pumpkin picking and bus rides to watch potato harvesters in action. Fishing in local stocked ponds is an annual tradition with local chefs who prepare the catch for all to enjoy.
Support the Caribou Resident Activities Fund
Residents enjoy being active and our certified activities supervisor is always planning a variety of programs for them to enjoy. As a result, we have selected our Resident Activities Fund to be the recipient of all gifts made online. However, if you prefer that your donation benefit a specific area of the home, special project or even a particular event, please let us know when you make your donation.
Maine Veterans’ Homes is an independent, nonprofit organization that relies on support from the community to achieve our mission of “Caring for those who served.” Our Veterans like to be active and the way we help them do that is by offering rich extracurricular programs that include fishing, hunting, shows and concerts, meals out and more. Learn how you can enrich the lives of our Veterans by downloading our Community Fundraising Guide. Proceeds from your fundraisers support Maine Veterans and the Activities Funds at our six Homes.
There is a variety of ways to give to the MVH Bangor. You can use your credit card to make a secure online gift, write a check and mail it with our giving form, transfer securities such as stocks and bonds, donate real estate or establish a future gift through your estate plans.
