At times of loss, we often look for meaningful ways to remember and celebrate the life and legacy of our friends and loved ones. Making a memorial gift to Maine Veterans’ Homes helps honor their life and enhances our staff’s ability to fulfill our mission of “caring for those who served.” When a memorial gift is made, a letter is sent to the family to acknowledge all of those individuals who contributed (name only; gift amount is omitted). The donor will also receive a thank you note suitable for tax purposes.
Residents find great pleasure in participating in activities both in our Homes as well as in their communities. Our Activities Department staff plan a variety of programs whether it’s a trip to the local nursery to pick out flowers for our gardens, creating art through various mediums, and more. As a result, we have selected the Resident Activities Funds for all memorial gifts. If you prefer a donation benefit a specific area of the Home, special project, or a particular event, let us know at the time of your donation.
