Our Veterans

Caring for those who served

At Maine Veterans’ Homes, we understand and appreciate the physical, mental and emotional strength required to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. As a Veteran, you are trained to overcome obstacles and never give up without a fight.

We are dedicated to serving honorably discharged Veterans who were residents of Maine at the time of their entry into the U.S. Armed Forces or who are residents of Maine at the time of their application to MVH. We also serve the spouses, widows or widowers and Gold Star parents of eligible Veterans. Eligible MVH Veterans must have served one or more days on active duty, yet there is no requirement for our Veterans to have served in combat or have a service-connected disability.

Honoring Those Who Served

At Maine Veterans’ Homes, we believe it is a privilege and our responsibility to support and provide care to those who served our country. As a way to honor these men and women and show our appreciation, we feature Veterans of the Month throughout the entire year.

Please take the opportunity to read our featured blogs that share the stories, memories and photos of these honored Veterans of Maine.
