At Maine Veterans’ Homes, 100% of your donation goes directly to the fund you choose—every dollar. We do not deduct administrative fees, processing costs, or hidden charges. MVH is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. Your generosity directly supports our Veterans, their families, and the staff who care for them every day.
You may choose to donate to any of the following funds:
General Fund: Our unrestricted fund, used where the need is greatest to support mission-driven work and strengthen the long-term sustainability of our Homes.
• Helps cover essential operational costs that keep our Homes running safely and effectively
• Supports therapeutic and clinical enhancements that improve resident care
• Allows MVH to respond quickly to unexpected or emerging needs
Employee Appreciation Fund: Enables us to recognize our dedicated team members, which is always important and especially meaningful during times of workforce shortages when staff may be picking up extra shifts and working longer hours.
• Provides staff recognition and appreciation events
• Supports morale-boosting initiatives
• Helps honor employee milestones
Resident Activities Fund: Enhances the daily life, engagement, and well-being of our Veterans.
• Funds community outings, entertainment, and social events
• Supports holiday celebrations and special meals
• Helps purchase materials for activities, crafts, and hobbies
Unspecified gifts will go the General Fund.
