Kids Volunteering

Giving the gift of time is rewarding for both volunteers and residents at MVH. During COVID-19, however, these special visitors haven’t been able to enter the Homes for safety reasons. Before COVID, however, we frequently welcomed businesses and service organizations to help with cookouts and events. Additionally, many individuals have become valued members of our MVH volunteer team. Once guidelines allow volunteers to enter the Homes again, opportunities include being an event helper, an escort on outings, visitor/companion, mail deliverer, appointment driver or you could help residents engage in gardening, arts and crafts, reading and more. If you would like one of our activities coordinators to contact you about becoming a volunteer, please fill out the form on this page.

Our South Paris facility also offers hospice training to our volunteers in conjunction with Androscoggin Home Health. Please contact the South Paris Activities Coordinator for more information.
