Welcome to MVH Scarborough, where residents are always cookin’ up some fun. From food tastings to intergenerational activities, our resident-driven community is a hub of activity. Our veterans plan the menus. They pick the activities. They enjoy life amongst fellow veterans. We are very proud that our nursing home was the first in Maine to achieve the National Gold Award for Excellence in Quality from the American Health Care Association.

As an independent nonprofit organization, Maine Veterans’ Homes relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to help us care for those who served. Daily, we provide care and comfort to approximately 600 Veterans, spouses and Gold Star parents in our six Homes across Maine.
At each of our nursing homes, we have a very active base of volunteers and contributors. Individuals from veterans’ service organizations and the community at large make regular visits, call out bingo, read to residents, and provide those little things that make a big difference.
We believe it is a privilege and our responsibility to provide care and support for those who honorably served our country.
We thank you for supporting the honored Veterans of Maine!
